Elizabeth MacCrimmon
- Artist and Sculptor
|
John Reichert is a widely known Midwest
Sculptor. He began his art career after attending the
old Layton School of the Arts in Milwaukee. He produced
a series of stunning abstract and realistic woodcarvings
for several years. In 1988 he began sculpting in clay
and manufacturing items in pewter. The pewter he creates
has the same meticulous care and artistic whimsy as
his wood carvings.
For fifteen years Reichert has been producing custom
pewter artwork for corporate commissions. This year
Reichert Studios is adding a retail product line and
custom corporate logo line of pewter artwork. It's exciting
times as this master sculptor flexes his artistic muscle
to new endeavors.
Photography is another one of John's artistic interests.
Photos on this web site are taken by him at his studio.
All of his corporate clients benefit as he photographs
their custom pewter artwork for their advertising purposes.
Also on the artistic horizon are large scale bronze
sculptures. John is putting the finishing touches on
a clay St. Francis of Assisi before the four foot statue
is cast in bronze. Pictures will follow soon on this
web site.
Elizabeth MacCrimmon studied painting
and drawing at Eastern Illinois
University and University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. She
also studied commercial art at Wilbur Wright Chicago
City College. She has since produced artwork for marketing
and advertising until joining forces with John Reichert
in 1999.
